Bee My Valentine

February a month to cherish.  Valentine cards are an absolute must to have on this day of remembering the past, celebrating the present and looking forward to the future.  This year I decided to give my favorite valentine a very special valentine, home made.  You can see it at the far left bottom.  Yes the pink one with the hearts.  I have to say I enjoyed making it as much as giving it.  That is until I saw the delight in his eyes when he opened the book and began to read it.  It is compiled of favorite quotes, lines from movies and some poetry along with some good old fashion cutout hearts.  I used the alphabet to inspire every page.  For example, "V - in Vain I have struggled.  It will not do.   My feelings will not be repressed.  You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love You."  It's ok to get a little, well maybe a lot, mushy.  After all isn't that a part of our past with our husbands?  It should also be in our present as well as our future.  Go ahead girls jump in there and work it!
Now the middle picture is my Valentine present from my Preacher Man.  Two Betsy Johnson purses.  I love it when he gets excessive.  I know I am worth it.  How do I know?  He tells me so.  I thank my God with all of my heart for him.  He truly knows how to treat his woman.  Not just in gifts but he has more romance in him now than the day we got married.  I can truly say, "E - Everyday in everyway my Preacher Man is getting better and better!"
Valentine's Day is also about spending time and celebrating with the people you love.  I am sooo glad we took time to be with our family.  Which brings me to the third picture.  Those two beauties are my grand-daughters Grace Jacqueline and Lillie Catherine.  They were walking in front of us as we headed for coffee at Barnes & Noble when I noticed their hair coloring being so close to the same color.  The more I looked at them the more the words from Psalm 23 bubbled up in me, "My cup runneth over".  Having family and being with family is truly a special time for me.  We look forward to the birth of our third grand-daughter Rose Elizabeth.  She will be with us very soon!  How awesome it is to have your garden filled with Lillies and Roses and watered with Grace....I do love them so.
Keep romance in your life 365 days a year!  Surround yourself with romance on Valentine's Day and everyday.  Love to all of you and a very Happy Valentine's Year to you!
