My Granddaughters! They are great girls and lots of fun. Yes, I admit the ages are kind of extreme. Grace Jacqueline is 18 and Lillie Catherine is 2. I was there when they were both born and I will never ever forget the joy and love I felt when they were put into my arms. It was as if an empty spot had been filled. When your kids are growing up you think, will they ever sleep all night, will I always be cutting all those little toenails and fingernails, how many times will you have to tell them to pick up, brush your teeth, and on and on and on. All to fast it all ends and you look at them wishing you could hold them one more time or just cuddle for a moment. Then along comes one of God's greatest gifts grandchildren. You go God!! In the first picture we are at Barnes & Noble having an afternoon drink and cookie. Of course Lillie is delighted to have Grace spend time with her and I am equally delighted just to look at them with joy bubbling from every pore in my being. The next photo was taken just last Monday. Grace and I celebrated her 18th birthday by getting our ears pierced. I now have 3 holes in my left ear. Grace picked the spot as it was her day to celebrate. I have to tell you the top piercing in the cartilage hurt and is sore. I also sleep on my left side and laying on that sore ear is not happening. But all in all it was a great time together. I do love her and enjoy her to the max. Of course when her Mom let me be the first one to hold her after delivery it was love at first sight and continues to be every time I see her. Oh did I happen to mention she has my middle name Jacqueline? Oh yea I am proud of it! Now in the last picture made just the other day Lillie and I were feeling a bit creative. I keep a little round box in my bedroom called the ribbon box. I started it when Lillie was born thinking we could do something with all those pretty ribbons left from various things. Well she does love those ribbons they end up all over the house but she finds a lot of uses for them. In fact as you see in the picture we did our hair and put those lovely ribbons as adornments. She is very personable and full of creativity. She keeps me on my toes and forever at her beck and call when she is around. I do love her from the top of her head to the soles of her feet, inside and out. One minute we are singing and dancing, the next it's time to play babies. So you see I do have extreme granddaughters and I do extremely love them both. They certainly do keep life interesting changing from a 2 years old mind set to an 18 year old. Thank you God for creating granddaughters especially mine....
